New Zealand maintains a strong and transparent product compliance framework built around mandatory safety regulations, technical standards, and risk-based conformity assessment. • Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) – Regulates food safety, animal and plant products, and imported foods.

  • Medsafe (Ministry of Health) – Regulates pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and health supplements.

  • Radio Spectrum Management (RSM) – A division of MBIE responsible for telecom and RF equipment compliance and spectrum licensing.

  • New Zealand Customs Service – Verifies import compliance and documentation at ports of entry.
