Product Certification and Compliance Requirements
Type Approval for Telecommunications Equipment: All telecommunications and electronic devices must obtain type approval from ORTEL. This process verifies that products meet national technical standards and are safe for use.
Certificate of Conformity (CoC): Certain regulated products may require a CoC, issued by an accredited body, confirming that they meet applicable technical requirements.
Health Product Registration: Pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and medical devices must be registered with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare before import and sale. This includes a technical file, test data, labeling review, and local representation.
Labeling Requirements: Products must be labeled in Spanish and include product name, manufacturer/importer information, country of origin, usage instructions, safety warnings, net content, and expiration date (if applicable).

Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN): An ECTN is required for all shipments to Equatorial Guinea. It must be validated before the vessel's arrival to avoid fines and delays.
