UAE: TDRA Fixed Radio Systems Consultation Reviews Fixed Link and Amateur Radio Rules
The UAE Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) held a public consultation from 3 to 21 September 2026 on proposed revisions to its Regulations on Fixed Radio Systems (v3.0) and Regulations on Amateur Radio (v3.0). India: BIS Registration for Screen Protectors Mandatory from April 2027
India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has made BIS registration for screen protectors mandatory. Notification S.O. 5190(E), dated 21 September 2026, adds smartphone screen protectors as S. No. 66 to the Compulsory Registration Order, 2021, requiring conformity with IS 19348:2025. From 1 April 2027, products that are manufactured, imported, stored, sold or distributed in India must be tested and BIS-registered.

US FCC Covered List Update: Components & E-Commerce
The United States has taken FCC Covered List enforcement inside the device. Mexico IFT-011-2022 Cell Broadcast Amendment Effective Oct 27, 2026
Mexico's CRT has published the final amendment to IFT-011-2022 Part 3 in the Diario Oficial de la Federación. Effective October 27, 2026, the Mexico IFT-011-2022 Cell Broadcast rules add new alert categories and CBS channels, non-disableable earthquake, hazard and civil-protection alerts, differentiated tones and vibration patterns, updated test methods, and transition paths for existing Certificates of Conformity and Homologation.

Oman Radio Frequency Regulation Amended: TRA Simplifies Radio Licensing

South Korea QR Code Energy Label Proposal Covers 46 Product Categories
South Korea has notified the WTO of a proposed amendment to its Regulation on Energy Efficiency Management Equipment (MCEE Notice No. 2026-798). The draft introduces a QR code-based energy efficiency label for 46 product categories and revises efficiency standards for 14, including wired and wireless routers, adapters and chargers, TVs, signage displays and refrigerators. Comments are open until 23 October 2026, with staged transition periods of 6 and 12 months after adoption.
